The Gift of a Friend

Sometime in the mid 1960’s my next door neighbor, Betsy Loague, gave me this hand-stitched tree skirt depicting all the 12 days of Christmas. Every Christmas since it has enhanced my enjoyment of my Christmas tree.

Betsy and her husband, Lloyd and I, and two other couples in the neighborhood started a New Year’s Eve celebration among us that continued for 30 years.

Thank you, Betsy for the tree skirt and our friendship.
